  • Bank Transfers (Online) or Cash
  • UK Visa Debit Cards

Please note:

  • We do not accept credit card payments for vehicle purchases.
  • We do not accept prepaid cards (e.g., Monzo, Tide, Revolut).

Deposits and Vehicle Reservations

By reserving a vehicle, you are expressing your intention to purchase. Deposits are refundable if canceled within 5 working days; after this period, the deposit becomes non-refundable if you change your mind.

  • Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind after 5 working days.
  • After placing a deposit, a team member will contact you to arrange next steps including delivery or collection.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a reservation and issue a full refund if, for example, funding or delivery is not arranged within a reasonable timeframe, if we are unable to contact you, or for any other reasonable cause.

Vehicle Security and History Documentation Disclaimer

Kennet Motors Limited ensures, to the best of our knowledge and via available online and official resources, that every vehicle we sell is:

  • HPI checked
  • Not recorded as stolen
  • Mileage Accuracy
  • Not subject to any outstanding finance
  • Not recorded as an insurance write-off in any category, including but not limited to Category A, B, S, or N.

Disclaimer: While we take every reasonable step to verify a vehicle’s history, we rely on external databases (such as DVLA, HPI, insurance registers, and other third parties). Occasionally, these databases may not reflect the most up-to-date information or may contain errors or omissions. Therefore, we cannot guarantee or take responsibility for the absolute accuracy or completeness of this data.

We are vehicle importers and may have access to certain history documents, such as auction sheets and import certificates. These documents may be provided to you upon request at the time of sale to assist your purchasing decision.

Please note that we are not required to retain or provide these documents after the sale is completed, and we reserve the right to withhold such documents if they are not available or applicable. Customers should therefore review any available documentation carefully during the purchase process.

Ownership of goods transfers only after full payment has been received in cleared funds. Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.

Returns and Refund Policy

You may return the vehicle:

Faulty Vehicle Returns
If you are returning a vehicle due to a fault or issue, you may be required to provide an independent report from a recognised motoring organisation such as RAC or AA. This report should confirm that the fault or issue existed at the time of sale. To ensure a timely resolution, the report must be obtained and submitted to us within 10 days of notifying us of the fault.

This requirement helps ensure fairness and transparency for both parties. It protects you as the buyer and us as the seller from claims arising from damage or faults caused after the sale.

We remain committed to treating all customers fairly and resolving genuine issues promptly.

Change of Mind
You may cancel and return the vehicle, provided it is in substantially the same condition as delivered and has not been driven excessively. An excess fair mileage charge per mile applies for mileage over 200 miles during this period. Refunds for change of mind returns may be subject to reasonable deductions for depreciation or use.

B. Refund Deductions
Refunds may be reduced to account for:

  • Missing items (charged based on replacement cost)
  • Damage or wear beyond fair use (charged at repair cost)
  • Excess mileage (charged at a fair mile charge over the fair use limits)

C. Part Exchange Vehicles
If you part exchanged a vehicle as part of your purchase, the value of the part exchange stated on your invoice will be treated as a contribution toward the total price. In the event of a refund:

  • We reserve the right to either:
    • Refund the value of the part exchange as listed on the invoice, or
    • Return the part exchange vehicle to you (if it has not yet been resold or significantly altered).
  • If the part exchange vehicle has been prepared for resale, modified, or sold, any refund will be net of any costs incurred, including but not limited to:
    • Mechanical or cosmetic preparation
    • Professional valuation or appraisal fees
    • Settlement of any outstanding finance

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or return where the part exchange valuation was found to be misrepresented or where the return process is deemed to have been misused or made in bad faith.

D. Home Delivery Returns
If your vehicle was delivered, we can collect it (delivery and collection charges apply). You must provide condition photos before collection.

E. Add-On Products
Extended warranties and protection packages purchased at the time of vehicle sale are paid in full upfront. If you return the vehicle within 14 days and request a refund, these add-on products will also be cancelled and refunded, subject to the cancellation terms of the warranty provider. Please note that some providers may have a shorter cancellation period (for example, 7 days), so refunds will be processed accordingly based on the provider’s specific policy. After the applicable cancellation period, refunds for warranties and protection products may not be available.

F. Vehicle Exchanges
You may exchange the vehicle instead of seeking a refund. Our sales team can help you find a suitable alternative.

G. Fuel/Charge Requirements
Please return the car with enough fuel/charge to complete inspection and movement (plus 10 miles buffer).

Online Sales and Video Tour Requirement

If you purchase your vehicle online without visiting the dealership, you agree to participate in a video tour of the vehicle prior to sale. During this video tour:

  • The vehicle will be shown running, starting the engine, and closely inspected to demonstrate its condition.
  • You will have the opportunity to ask questions and view all relevant parts of the vehicle in real-time.

We perform this video tour to ensure our customers receive the right vehicle in good condition without needing to visit the dealership in person, helping to eliminate hassle and unexpected issues after purchase. This process helps avoid costly delivery or collection charges that may apply if a vehicle needs to be returned or replaced.

By agreeing to this process, you acknowledge that you have been given a reasonable and thorough opportunity to inspect the vehicle remotely. Therefore, any request for cancellation and refund must be based on reasonable grounds related to the vehicle’s condition or significant discrepancies from what was shown during the video tour.

Cancellation requests for reasons such as “change of mind,” use of the vehicle for holidays, or other non-vehicle-related causes may be declined.
