Warranty Assurance at Kennet Motors Limited

Recognizing the apprehensions our customers have regarding third-party warranty providers, with their limitations, exclusions, added administrative hassles, and prolonged waits on call center lines, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to offer a more seamless solution.


By providing our own in-house warranties, we ensure the continuity of exceptional service. Despite our meticulous checks and the stringent standards we maintain in preparing used cars, we acknowledge that unforeseen issues can arise. Hence, we want you to know that in the event of any complications, a simple call to us will initiate a swift resolution plan, regardless of your location.


You can sidestep the hassle of prolonged email exchanges, invoice submissions, and debates over coverage. We take care of the entire process. Our warranty covers the engine and gearbox and is valid on a Back to Base basis only. Items subject to wear and tear, including the timing belt, are not covered under this warranty, as detailed below.

Any issues related to the gearbox or engine noticed after the sale must be reported within seven days or immediately if they pose a safety concern. Failure to report such issues within this timeframe will be taken as confirmation that the vehicle is fit for purpose and free from defects at the time of sale. Please note that continuing to drive the vehicle without addressing a potential issue may be considered negligence and could affect the validity of any warranty claims. This warranty does not cover wear and tear items such as brakes, tires, clutches, or other consumable components.

Warranty is for Engine & Gearbox, Back To Base Only as stated below.

Engine Coverage

This encompasses components such as the Oil pump, Crankshaft, Big end bearings, Main bearings, Thrust Bearings, Camshaft & foliowers, Valves and valve guides, Pistons, Gudgeon pins, Piston Rings, Con rods, Cylinder head, Oil Seals and gaskets. Excluding Water Pumps, Timing Belts and Associated Bearing and Tensioners, all coverage is applicable to vehicles under 100,000 miles.

Manual Gearbox Coverage:​

All internal components are included, such as the main shaft, lay gear, all gears, synchro-hub assemblies, baulk rings, needle rollers, bearings, oil seals, and gaskets all coverage is applicable to vehicles under 100,000 miles. External linkage is excluded.

Automatic Gearbox Coverage (including semi/auto Gearboxes):

Coverage includes Oil Pumps, Bands, Torque Converter, Valve Block Housing, Governor Valve, Oil Seals, and Gaskets, while excluding all electrical parts & external linkage. All coverage is applicable to vehicles under 100,000 miles, and Oil Seals & Gaskets are applicable for vehicles under 100,000 miles ONLY.

Regarding any work covered under the warranty, the seller will undertake it on a “Back to Base” approach. In instances where it’s deemed necessary, the buyer holds the responsibility of returning the vehicle to the seller, ensuring that no further damage is incurred.

Any of warranty work to be carried out by Seller on ”Back to Base” Basis, it is buyers responsibility to return vehicle to seller without causing more damage if warranty work is required  and it is buyers responsibility to arrange their own transport if needed.

Any warranty related work expenses that been carried out elsewhere will not be covered by seller.

Delivery

We deliver nationwide at the cost of £2.50 per mile.

RETURNS

  • Upon vehicle return / Collection vehicle must be in the same condition it was delivered, any damage, modifications or alterations otherwise we will not accept vehicle back for a full refund.
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 Calendar Days.
  • Seller does not provide courtesy vehicles, recovery services, nor covering any travel expenses.

This cancellation clause does not affect any separate rights given to you in the Consumers Rights Act 2015 or the sale of goods act 1979 (as amended) during these tough times our team will deliver as much hassle free service as possible.

Note: We strive to address all queries promptly while attending to other customers. Our goal is to respond within three to seven working days.
